Transit Chart (“we,” “us”) operates the website at https://transitchart.net and related pages that calculate Western tropical transit charts. Astrology charts are built from birth date, optional birth time, and birthplace. That information can identify someone when combined with other data, so we treat it carefully even when you are only running a free tool.

This policy is written for ordinary site use. It is not legal advice. If you do not agree with this policy, do not submit birth data or use the calculator.

1. Who this policy covers

It covers visitors who browse educational pages, people who run the transit chart calculator, and anyone who emails support@transitchart.net. It does not cover third-party sites we link to. Their own privacy policies apply on those sites.

2. Information you provide

Depending on how you use the site, you may submit:

• Birth data — date of birth, optional birth time, and birthplace (the city or place you choose, which we use to set location and time zone for the chart).
• Transit date — the date for which you want current or custom planetary transits.
• Support messages — your email address, message text, and any chart details you choose to include when you contact us.

You do not need an account to use the calculator. We do not ask for payment card details on the free tool. Please do not send government ID numbers, passwords for other services, or medical records unless a specific lawful request truly requires them.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting providers may process basic technical data when you visit a page or run a calculation:

• IP address and approximate network location
• Browser type, device type, and general operating system
• Date and time of the visit, referring site, and page requested
• Basic error information when a request fails

We use this information to keep the site running, fix outages, limit abuse, and understand traffic in aggregate — not to build a marketing profile from your natal chart.

4. How calculator data is used

Birth and transit inputs are used to:

• Calculate natal and transit planetary positions
• Calculate transit-to-natal aspects, orbs, and related chart details
• Look up birthplace suggestions when you search for a city
• Show your result in the browser after calculation. Charts are not kept on our servers until you choose to save a link. An unsaved chart may stay temporarily in your browser so you can view it on the result page; closing the page or starting in a new window can clear it. When you save a link, we create a stored copy so that link can open the chart again for 30 days.

We use the data to provide the chart you asked for, keep the service secure and reliable, and respond when you contact us. We do not sell birth charts, email lists, or personal data. We do not use submitted birth data to train public AI models.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The calculator does not use non-essential cookies. After you calculate, an unsaved result may stay temporarily in your browser so you can view it; it is not saved as a lasting file on your device by this application. It can remain if you refresh the same page, and it may be cleared when you close the page, open a new window, clear this site's data in your browser settings, or save a link and leave the temporary view. Chart inputs are sent to our servers to calculate; they are not kept as a permanent browser archive by this application.

Our hosting or security providers may still set strictly necessary technical cookies to operate and protect the site. If we later add analytics or advertising cookies, we will describe them here and follow any consent rules that apply. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking essential technical cookies may affect how the site loads.

6. Result pages and sharing

Personalized chart results can include sensitive personal data. Result links are meant to stay private: they are not written for search engines to list, and you should not post them publicly if you want the birth data to stay private. Anyone who has the link may be able to open the result. Share only with people you trust.

7. Service providers

We use trusted providers to host the website, run chart calculations, and store city reference data and any saved chart results. They process data on our behalf to operate Transit Chart. Birthplace suggestions draw on GeoNames and similar open geographic sources. The city list itself is reference data; the place you select for a chart is part of your calculator input.

8. How long we keep information

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention, and operations, then deleted or summarized. Support emails are kept as long as needed to answer you and maintain a basic record of the conversation.

Shareable result pages are stored only after you choose to save a link, so that link can reopen the chart. Those saved results expire after 30 days, matching the notice on the result page. After expiry the link no longer shows the chart. You may also email us to request deletion sooner when we can locate the result. Calculations you never save are not kept on our servers as a birth-data archive.

9. Security

We use standard protections appropriate to a small web tool, including encrypted connections when you use the live site and limited access to systems that hold data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Avoid sending birth data through channels you do not trust, and treat a shared result link as private access to that chart: anyone with it may open the result until the link expires or is removed.

10. Children

The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 for accounts or marketing. Chart calculations for a minor’s birth data should only be run by a parent or guardian who is allowed to provide that information. If you believe a child has submitted data inappropriately, contact us and we will delete what we can find.

11. International visitors

The site may be hosted or processed in countries different from your own. If you use Transit Chart from another region, your information may be transferred to and processed where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and law.

12. Your choices and requests

You can:

• Browse educational pages without submitting birth data
• Leave birth time blank if you prefer not to provide it
• Choose not to create or share result links
• Email privacy questions or deletion requests to support@transitchart.net

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to particular processing. We will respond to good-faith requests as required by applicable law. We may need enough detail to find the data — for example a result link or the approximate time and inputs of a request. We may refuse requests that are unlawful, abusive, or impossible to fulfill.

13. Third-party links

Pages on this site may link to external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before giving them information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the site, our providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy for later use. When a change is material, we may also note it on the site when practical.
