By using https://transitchart.net and related pages (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Transit Chart provides a free educational calculator for Western tropical astrology. You can enter birth data and a transit date to view natal and transit planetary positions, transit-to-natal aspects, orbs, and related explanations. The site also publishes educational pages about current transits, transit aspects, and how transit charts relate to natal charts.

Charts use the tropical zodiac and, when birth time is available, Placidus houses. The Service does not calculate Vedic or sidereal charts, and it does not cover every traditional or modern predictive technique.

2. Educational use only — no professional advice

Chart results, educational pages, and any automated interpretation text are for education, research, and personal reflection within the symbolic language of astrology. They are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, investment, immigration, or other professional advice.

Do not use the Service as the sole basis for health decisions, legal strategy, financial commitments, or emergency action. If you need advice in those areas, consult a qualified professional licensed where you live. Astrology involves interpretation; two practitioners can disagree about the same aspect list.

3. No guarantee of accuracy or availability

We aim for careful planetary calculation and clear presentation. Still, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Without limiting that general disclaimer, we do not warrant that:

• every position, orb, house cusp, time-zone conversion, or interpretation will be free of error
• birthplace search will include every place on Earth
• the site will always be available, secure, or free of defects
• automated text will match the reading you would receive from a human astrologer

Unknown or approximate birth times produce incomplete charts. If you omit birth time, do not treat missing house or angle data as a hidden positive or negative judgment — it is missing information.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree that you will:

• Provide information you are allowed to use (including a minor’s birth data only if you are permitted to do so)
• Keep shared result links private when the underlying birth data should stay private
• Use the Service in compliance with applicable law
• Not rely on the Service as sole professional advice of any kind

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Probe, scan, or attack the Service, or attempt unauthorized access
• Overwhelm the calculator or birthplace search with automated bulk traffic, heavy scraping that degrades the service, or other abuse meant to take the site down
• Resell or rebrand our chart calculations as your own commercial service without a separate written agreement
• Use the Service to harass, expose, or publish someone else’s birth data without a lawful basis and appropriate consent
• Present chart output as certified scientific, medical, or governmental fact
• Remove or hide notices that identify Transit Chart as the source when you quote short excerpts with attribution

We may slow, block, or suspend access when we detect abuse, security risk, or a material breach of these terms.

6. Accounts and optional paid features

The calculator does not require an account. If we later offer optional accounts, saved charts, email updates, or paid features, extra terms may apply when you sign up or pay. Those terms will control for that feature if they conflict with this page on that feature alone.

7. Intellectual property

The Transit Chart name, site design, original writing, and software that runs the Service are owned by us or our licensors. Third-party components — including planetary calculation libraries, fonts, and geographic datasets — remain under their own licenses. Birthplace reference data includes material © GeoNames and related contributors.

You may view and use calculator results for personal or educational purposes. You may not copy the site wholesale, mirror the Service, or scrape educational content to run a competing substitute for Transit Chart.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on hosting and data providers. External links are offered for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or outages. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.

9. Privacy

How we handle birth data, logs, and support mail is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the calculator, you understand that birth date, time, and place are processed to produce chart results as described there. Shareable result links, when created, expire after 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy and on the result page.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Astrology is not an exact science; symbolic timing tools can be wrong, incomplete, or misread.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Transit Chart and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or chart interpretations arising from your use of the Service — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim (which is zero for free use) or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US $50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Transit Chart and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your publication of another person’s birth data through result links or other channels you control.

13. Changes and termination

We may change the Service, these terms, or both. The “Last updated” date will change when terms are revised. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or stop the Service, or your access to it, at any time — including for maintenance, legal risk, or abuse.

14. Governing law

Unless mandatory local consumer law says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that venue will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes that cannot be resolved informally, except that you may still bring qualifying consumer claims in your local jurisdiction when the law requires it.
